Scoolie, fajn. Jak tedy vysvětlíte, proč využil Kastnerova vlaku do Švýcarska (viz má úvaha výše) ? Pokud věřil tomu, že vše je jen propaganda a Židům se nic nestane, proč tolik majetku Němcům za jednu jednosměrnou jízdenku ?
Prostě mi nějak nedokážete vymluvit, že své lidi hodil přes palubu.

Já přece netvrdím, že nenechal své lidi napospas a neutekl. Udělali to tak všichni rabíni z nacisty a sověty okupované Evropy, kteří přežili. Jsou další příklady třeba z Litvy a dalších míst.
Ale to pořád neznamená, že věděl o tom vraždění. Prostě jen mohl mít strach z koncentráku = tábora tvrdých nucených prací.
Navíc se bavíme o velmi krátkém časovém období. Mám-li věřit Wiki, tak zpráva byla sepsána na samém konci dubna (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rudolf_Vrba#The_Vrba-Wetzler_report) a Kastnerův vlak odjel z Budapešti 30. června (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kastner_train). Jednalo se tedy o 2 měsíce.
Navíc mi pořád uniká, z čeho se má za prokázané, že T. zprávu skutečně četl. Citace z Wiki z prvního odkazovaného článku říká:

Otázka tedy zní - byl Joel T. v Radě a byl seznámen se zprávou? Pokud ano, věřila zprávě Rada? Pokud ne, proč by jím měl věřit on? Pokud ano, proč nevarovala sama Rada? Pokud to dala na starost jednotlivým rabínům, jak to, že nevaroval NIKDO z nich (nejen T.)?

Rabbi Aharon Rokeach, known as the "Wonder Rebbe" was at the top of the Gestapo's "wanted list" of rabbis targeted for extradition and extermination during the Nazi occupation of Poland. Thanks to the untiring efforts and cash inflow from Belzer hasidim in the British Mandate of Palestine, England and the United States, the Rebbe and his half-brother, Rabbi Mordechai of Bilgorai, 22 years his junior, managed to stay one step ahead of the Nazis in one miraculous escape attempt after another. Notwithstanding the watchful presence of Gestapo patrols at every turn, the pair was spirited out of Belz and into Sokal, then Premishlan, then to the Cracow ghetto, and then to the Bochnia ghetto.
In their most hair-raising escape attempt, the brothers were driven out of occupied Poland and into Hungary by a Hungarian counter-intelligence agent who was friendly to Jews. The Rebbe, his brother, and his attendant, shorn of their distinctive beards and sidelocks, were disguised as Russian generals who had been captured at the front and were being taken to Budapest for questioning. To quell rumors of the Rebbe's disappearance from the ghetto, one of his Hasidim dressed up in Rebbe Aharon's clothing and sat in his inner sanctum all day, imitating the way the Rebbe immersed himself in prayer and study. When other Hasidim urged the Rebbe's attendant to let them send in their kvittlach ("notes" or "petitions for blessings"), they heard a perfect imitation of the Rebbe's voice, mumbling his blessings.

Yosef Yitzchok Schneersohn, only son of Sholom Dovber took charge of the movement on the death of his father and led it until his death in 1950. He fought the Bolsheviks attempting to preserve Jewish life in Russia. In 1927 he was arrested and imprisoned in the Spalerno prison in Leningrad, and sentenced to death for spreading Judaism. After international protests his life was spared and he went on a world tour in the early 1930s. He returned to Warsaw in 1934, disillusioned with the secularism of the United States. He stayed in Warsaw with his Hasidim through 1940 and the capture of the city by the Nazis. A desperate struggle to save his life ensued. Ultimately he was granted diplomatic immunity, and arrived in New York in March 1940,[31] reputedly with the help of Admiral Wilhelm Canaris.[32] Most of the Chabad Yeshiva system was destroyed by Bolshevik governments and the Nazi invasion in 1941, and many of its students were killed.
Naopak ovšem třeba Bobovský rebe zůstal se svými.

Naprosto tomu rozumím. Ale právě proto je ještě palčivější otázka, zda všech 40 byli zbabělci, kteří utíkali před jistou smrtí a NIKDO z nich to svým lidem neřekl, nebo zda ti lidé byli hromadně přesvědčeni, že utíkají jen před nějakými lágry...
Zatím ta debata byla jen ve stylu, zda T. byl nebo nebyl zrádce a člověk, který úmyslně zamlčel svým lidem, že jdou na smrt. Nyní ta otázka zní, zda taková byla velká část maďarských rabínů...
